Chord Voicings — Charango

Choose any root and all five GCEAE courses answer at once, each quality arriving already shaped for a rasgueo.

The Charango chord reference: pick a root, then any of 62 qualities, and every charted voicing arrives on GCEAE with its frets, its fingers, and audio.

Five courses is a wide hand for a raked stroke, and that reach is the style: a charango almost never holds a chord and waits — a rasgueo rakes the whole shape in one direction, then the other, and the chord becomes a rhythm before it becomes a sustained sound. A voicing here is a shape the strumming hand crosses, not a note it lingers on.

Voicings are computed for this tuning by the shared voicing generator, not borrowed from another instrument; traditional technique may still use idiomatic shapes not charted here.
